that's it, really. DD can't sleep, I can't hear myself think. It's half 6 and I think it's unreasonable to use such noisy equipment in the evenings. They've been there all day and only just started doing noisy stuff in the back garden, right next to our windows (separated by a fence).

can I ask them to stop or AIBU?

You are not BU to ask IMO

If they say no then I don't know what your next move is going to be!

squeakytoy · 13/04/2011 18:39

It isnt that late, and hopefully they will soon be finished.

worraliberty · 13/04/2011 18:40

Just ask how long they're going to be and politely say 'I just wondered because it's my DD's bedtime'

Tbh, they're probably not thinking of bedtimes at 6.30 in the evening

NotYourPrincess · 13/04/2011 18:43

Sardine, that was the reason for my hesitation :o

Turns out they'll be there until 7. Not the end of the world, just have to occupy grizzy DD for 20 mins or so I suppose [just wants to sit down with cuppa emoticon]
