"I was feeling down earlier so I dipped my Muslim friend in bleach,

I thought I'd try to lighten Mahmood..."

I think I might hit the delete button. Jury please!

WassaAxolotlEgg · 13/04/2011 09:20

diddl · 13/04/2011 09:20

That doesn´t even make sense, does it?

Vicky2011 · 13/04/2011 09:21

where do people get this shit from? I was so heartened when Jim Davidson had to cancel his shows but seems there is still a market for that kind of bollox :-(

purplerabbitofinle · 13/04/2011 09:22

OP posts:
JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 13/04/2011 09:41

Is it racist though? Particularly seeing as Muslims aren't an ethnic group?

I quite like the pun. I love a pun, me. Perhaps there's a way of retelling it without the bleach reference - which is Hmm I agree. Something referring to weight loss or something.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 13/04/2011 10:16

Pathetic 'joke' if it is one. A bit like the puerile efforts one gets to see when somebody famous dies or something tragic hits the news headlines. It's the kind of 'humour' celebrated on 'mock the week' and all its offshoots... that's the kind of raddled society we have now.

dearyme · 13/04/2011 10:24

lol, thats quite funny actually

charleneanne · 13/04/2011 10:31

ok so it is rasict but maybe like a lot of us the poster is pissed off with muslims moaning about people being rasict soon got bloody jumped on when the twats tried asking my ds school to not serve sausage or bacon what gives them the goddamn r8ights to try to do that also they moan about out flags they moan about our xmas lights they hide behind bloody face coverings when our own people are asked to take a hood down in a shopping centre and beyond all amybe they are fed up with em blowing innocent people up and preaching hate

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 13/04/2011 10:32
Hmm
gorionine · 13/04/2011 10:43

Beautiful post Charleneanne Hmm. As a white Muslim, not that the colour matters really but for this thread maybe it does, myself and all the other Muslims of whichever colour I know do:

-Give packed luch to their children or explain to them ( them = owns dcs, not school) to go for the vegetarian option.

-Do not moan about "your" flag which in a lot of cases is also theirs

-although we would not decorate our own house for Christmas have no problem with people doing it and actually rather enjoy looking at Christmas lights.

I will not enter a debate about face covering on this thread because there are at least 3 other threads on the subject ATM.

I love how you say "our own people" as well, so very 'diplomatic'!

chicletteeth · 13/04/2011 10:48

It doesn't make any sense.
Plenty of muslims not white, and not particularly dark either!

Stupid, stupid joke. Glad you called them on it.

chicletteeth · 13/04/2011 10:48

That would be plenty of muslims ARE white and some are not .....

purplerabbitofinle · 13/04/2011 10:53

We all need to act according to our conscience and sometimes we doubt our own judgement, which is why I started this thread.

Charleneanne, if you would like to discuss your opinions on whether iabu please do. If you wish to the rights and wrongs of religious freesom, wearing the niqab and immigration please either start your own thread or join one of the many discussions already on the forum

Mamazonhereggsclucking · 13/04/2011 10:54

was it the friend that posted it? or was it on your friends page by someone else?

if it was the friend then just delete.

Sadly my family are pretty ignorant and rather vile. I have had to block them from posting on my page entirely after yet another comment on my page that was rude and offensive, but that when challenged by a different friend was met with rather ridiculous arguing.

I am nothing like my family i am pleased to say, but i would hate for people to assume that we are merely because they have posted on my page.

jenga079 · 13/04/2011 10:54

Oh dear charleneanne. Maybe if you'd paid more attention at school you'd have learnt how to use punctuation and express yourself clearly, then you might be able to enter into a proper debate instead of an angry rant at a mythical species called 'they'

Oh, and I'm White British, but certainly not one of 'your' people.

confuseddotcodotuk · 13/04/2011 10:54

A guy I was friends with from an old job posted "I fostered a Muslim boy last night. Got a six pack smack in his face!" I replied that it wasn't funny at all and quite ignorant actually before deleting him. Another old work friend replied to it afterwards saying "Well, I had a little chuckle!"

She got deleted as well.

SpringchickenGoldBrass · 13/04/2011 10:55

I tend to use lines like 'Darling, do you want people to think you are a racist fuckwit?'

jenga079 · 13/04/2011 10:55

Yanbu OP. Defriend and tell them why.

diabolo · 13/04/2011 10:56

Lord that is just awful.

Delete it and the person who posted it.

Mamazonhereggsclucking · 13/04/2011 10:58

most of the cases of schools banning pork/beef products that is caused by the school or LEA assuming it is offensive rather than a single muslim/jew/hindu actually complaining.

but even if they did, "i don't like you eating pork" "ok i shall dip you in acid"
not quite the same really are they?

think you should maybe get back to your copy of Mein Kampf.

WassaAxolotlEgg · 13/04/2011 11:01

Let me guess. These Muslim parents that complained. Reading between the lines, was it:
a) the only meat served was pig
b)that there wasn't a vegetarian option at all, or
c) they were being unreasonable, just as lots of non-Muslim parents are unreasonable every single day.

As for "what gives them the goddamn r8ights to try to do that"? Well, they have children at the school, maybe? Everyone has the right to express concern and lobby for changes at their children's school. Or aren't Muslim children proper children or proper school pupils? Should their parents not care about them?

our own people are asked to take a hood down in a shopping centre
By "our own people" too. I don't think you can blame Bluewater Shopping Centre's policies on Muslims!

diabolo · 13/04/2011 11:05

charleneanne - your post is awful and offensive (and very badly written).

Have you ever heard of sentences? Punctuation?

Or don't they have those in BNP leaflets?

Mamazonhereggsclucking · 13/04/2011 11:13

actually the ignorance of Cheleneannes post is almost funny.

Youths are asked to remove hoodies because they were causing anti social behaviour knowiong they could go undetected. Or is that the fault of islam?

And as for blowing up innocnet people. erm have you seen the news lately? Do you think Britain and the UN should compare numbers of innocent people killed by them compared to those killed in 7/7 or even 9/11? I have a very strong feeling that you would be surprised.

but don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant hey
