I thought of this thread tonight on a quick trip to Sainsbo's to pick up some stuff for DS2's party this w/end Grin.

To be fair, it was a load of stuff I never normally buy, very full but lightweight bags of party rings, crisps, marshamallow cakes to make into spiders with matchmaker legs etc etc. Oh and nice ham.

Have dcs from 17 down to 7. Have always arranged parties round a mealtime - usually lunch - so have felt the need to provide OKish stuff - cucumber and tomatoes always disappear round here. Often did hot food too. Much easier.

Wait till your kids are 14 and want a sushi party!!

This has got me all nostalgic now Lauquitar I may have to go off and make an attempt at flounas for easter, obviously without the seseme seeds.

Funnily enough DS is 15 now, he had been to Tesco with DH last night and had come home with a huge pot of olives from the olive bar Grin
