Why can't people who know they are going to be in an all day meeting set the bloody things to silent?

Sat here trying to mumsnet work with no less than four phones whose owners are all in said all day meeting and the buggers just won't stop ringing.

First they ring because someone is calling and then they ring every five mins to remind the owner of the phone that someone left a message for them.

Drives me nuts!!!!!! I'd silence them myself except I'd get endlessly moaned at later....... Angry

Why dont you just turn them off?

If someone asks, just shrug and say you don't know who did it.

Oooh it is annoying.

I work in a school and the teachers all have lockers in the staff room (where I work mostly at one of the PC's). ALL DAY DURING LESSONS these bloody mobiles ring and vibrate inside the metal lockers.

I shout at these phones sometimes Confused, especially the one that plays "Dont Stop Believing" over and over again!

But if you know someone is a teacher, why why why do you ring them during lessons?

BibiBlocksberg · 12/04/2011 12:25

:) diabolo - that is far worse than my situation then.

Don't stop Believing all day long

Think I might just go with your suggestion Niceguy2 - as soon as all of the witnessess on my floor have buggered off to lunch that it.

Right, back to my other hobby, telling the person who called me what they called me about.........
