me too on the vidal sassoon hair stuff in the brown bottle that smelt of almonds and the body shop pineapple cleanser was fab. does anyone remember when Rowntrees did the tubes of butterscotch gums like the fruit gums, I seem to be the only one who does and I ate tons of them. yummmm

Grasshopper Pie... Iceland used to stock a version of it, it was my favourite dessert as a child. I couple of years ago I even made a special trip back to a pub I used to visit near my grandparents that used to serve it, just to check. But the pub has changed hands and is completely different now. :(

More recently... Masala Masala fresh curry sauces. They vanished last year and I've not seen them since! Where have they gone? They were delicious and so easy for getting a tasty dinner on the table in record time.

Wotsits waffles, roundtrees bursting bugs, rumpypumpy cake... Sad

GirlWithALlamaTattoo · 16/04/2012 16:09

Ooh, I didn't know Lush was CTG!

Linda McCartney barbecue sausages, last seen on cheap in Iceland in about 2000.
BBQ Doritos, the proper ones, not the new ones in the big bag.
Body Shop Magic Mushroom cream eyeshadow
Marks & Sparks eye make up remover.

And another vote for Pyramints. Not that I ever had more than 1, Mum said they were for grown-ups.

What on earth is rumpypumpy cake? I want some!

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 16/04/2012 16:10

God, they're always doing away with all my favourite things.

Body Shop body mask. Can't find anything similar anywhere.
Those raspberry-filled chocolate bars (Ruffle?)
A particular kind of Darjeeling. I'm v fussy about my Darjeeling [saddo] and other kinds just don't fit the bill.
Dark Chocolate Oranges. I see one, occasionally, about once a year somewhere odd (remainder shop, dusty old newsagent) but cannot find one when I'm out actually wanting to buy one.
Itsu tuna salad with seared tuna and half a hard-boiled egg. It's all shite sushi and unsatisfying wraps now.

They're only recent things. Do not get me started on things from my youth (but yes to Fish n Chip biscuitty-crisp things and Piglets).

Don't the Body Shop do a changing range of 'old favourite' products? I'm sure I've seen the banana hair stuff in there recently.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes - do you mean Toffos? I used to love them!

jojoba stuff

OrangeCrushed · 16/04/2012 16:18

Ainsley Harriots range of risottos, I love risottos but can never sucessfully make them from scratch, so these were brilliant when I fancied risotto, haven't been able to find them for ages! But his bloody cous cous is still about!

madhairday · 16/04/2012 16:33

Body shop Ananya range. Reminds me of when I was first going out with dh, I thought it was lovely, would most likely now think it is sickly but the memories...

Body shop again had a lush lip balm called morello cherry. The ones now just don't live up to it. It was utterly gorgeous

When I was a student I used to buy Safeway's own Peach shampoo and conditioner. I have still not found anything to rival these after years. Only cost 49p each too. I remember the divine smell and how they made my hair all clean and flowy.

Organics shampoo and conditioner were again lovely but more £££. They took them away too, the bastards Hmm

Toffos!

bleedingheart · 16/04/2012 16:38

Toffos!
Vice Versas!
Coconut Boost!
Jojoba oil shampoo!

All of these things are missing from my life but I'd tried to blank it out.

John Frieda Beach Blonde oil, it was amazing on my curly non-blonde hair, a couple of drops in the morning and perfect ringlets smelling of coconut all day. Why did they discontinue it? His Frizz-ease stuff makes me look like an electrified poodle but I had a lot of time for him in his Beach Blonde days.

AllthatshewantsisanotherBBaby · 16/04/2012 18:54

M&S chicken tikka sandwiches

lookoveryourshoulder · 16/04/2012 19:48

...Blue Dragon Crispy Noodles....

Used to get a handful of these toss them in hot oil and they puffed up and were deliciously crunchy - excellent with a stir fry.

A subsitute must still be around as the Vesta Curry Packets has them in - but although I have written to them they have never responded as to where I could just buy the noodles....

HybridTheory · 16/04/2012 21:33

Boots (chemical) Hair Straightening Kit.

GirlWithALlamaTattoo · 16/04/2012 22:42

I've looked and looked for crispy noodles - can't find them anywhere.

And Crosse and Blackwell Worcestershire Sauce - was veggie and the same price as Lea and Perrins.

Primrose123 · 16/04/2012 22:46

Orange Chapstick :-(

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 17/04/2012 12:52

toffos were good but I meant proper butterscotch flavour fruit gums.

squeakytoy · 17/04/2012 12:59

Those raspberry-filled chocolate bars (Ruffle?)

They still do those. I get them from Sainsburys.
