I have got a bit freindly with a mom from the school and decided to invite her over with her two children and she was more than happy to come.
I was feeling pleased as mom freinds is something I have always lacked for ds who is an only.
I invited them again probably it was too soon she said can I let you know then I got the tect to say she can,t make it as she is really tired kids playing her up so on.
However I was gutted aibu to feel like this.

A bit unreasonable yes.

I mean she really could have been tired and busy...or as you say, it might have been too soon.

Also, she might be planning to invite you and your child next time....hard to say really isn't it?

Possibly you're trying too hard?

DD1 was an only child for 9 years so I know what you mean about trying to compensate, but I don't think you need to, they get your one to one time and don't have to fend off siblings.

Six to one half a dozen to another.

Just relax and let her make the next 'move', she was probably busy and not giving you the brush off.

She probably was just feeling tired! Don't stress over it, chat with her at school as normal.
