Have always been a fan but watched a clip of her performing "let england shake" - and being interviewed- on the andrew marr show of all places and was struck by how great she is anew! And i reckon andrew marr fancies the pants off her. Honestly google/youtube it. Excellent stuff.

I love the video of her singing Henry Lee with Nick Cave

Totally squeakytoy, it sends shivers up my spine.

Yanbu. She's fantastic!

I've just re-discovered Polly Jane too after managing to somehow or other forget about her for the last 10 years! Let England Shake is magnificent.

YANBU. Have loved her music over half my life now, since Sheela-na-gig. Brilliant and unique!

I used to love her, but she seems to have deteriorated a bit. Henry Lee vid is fantastic, but the new song's shit.

Peetle · 07/04/2011 09:18

I have her setlist from a ULU gig in about 1992 and can't seem to stop playing the new album.

You are not being unreasonable. Let England Shake should have been number one for 9 weeks, not that awful fat bird.

I have been a massive fan for nearly 20 (? can that be right???) years, and have wanted to see her ever since, but kept missing tickets. I finally saw her in February and she was amazing.

Jux, get the album- the songs in isolation don't work as well, I think.

She never puts a foot wrong IMO.
