Yippeee the sun is out at last. But oh no my feet have been tucked inside my comfy slippers for the last 6 months and my skins all dry and flakey from central heating, wind and cold.

Dont get me wrong I Love the summer but I wish I'd been preparing for its arrival for the last few months. So jealous of the mums who showed up at school today in flip flops with painted toes and non hard skin feet. I've got some serious work to do!

Exactly how I feel!!! :)

I agree,my skin resembles corned beef and my feet, well, they even make me want to retch..

My body ain't suited for being uncovered and exposed Grin

Skin is skin. Feet are feet. What work do you have to do to them?

Can't say I've ever given it a second thought. Surely noone expects me to look like I've just come back from a spa in the Bahamas? YABU.

I have put a bit of fake tan on (just a little bit to take the blueish tinge off!) and feel MUCH less minging and pasty - worth a try maybe?!? I know the feeling!!

FudgeGirl · 06/04/2011 21:26

Get a Scholl dual action foot file. Very addictive and awfully good. My feet developed really hard skin all of a sudden and I can't stand to touch them, but I managed with this and it leaves them so soft!

Then smother with some Avon Footworks stuff, creams on their own won't work, you really have to strip off the hard skin!

Tidy up your nails and a slick of red polish - voila!

MorticiaAddams · 06/04/2011 21:26

You need to give your skin a good scrub and moisturise and quick sharp. Get a bit of colour in the garden or use a tinted moisturiser for now.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 06/04/2011 21:27

I feel the same.

My legs are immune to the sun (well my whole body seems to be, but my legs in particular) so they stay lilly white tinged with blue all year round!

I hate feeling too hot so do like wearing more summery things but am not a natural summer dresser (don't like floaty skirts or dresses!) so I'm greeting the warm days with mixed feelings.

Thanks FudgeGirl I'll give the scholl thing a try.

Im sure I will get over it, I always do. Its just the initial shock of getting my trotters out after months in hibernation and some people seem so prepared. I just hide myself away for the winter and then worry about the ard skin and hairy legs come spring! Lazy i guess.
