There is a little toy shop in town, it's only a small shop but it has a brill range of stuff, and I go there often with DD (2)

Went the other day to find they had a reshuffle. They had moved all the preschool aged toys, baby toys, basically anything that was either safe for under 3's or aimed at preschool children and under, upstairs. And no, there isn't a lift, and there isn't space on the ground floor to leave a buggy if going upstairs carrying a baby or toddler.

AIBU in thinking this was a really bad shop organisation decision, and they are gonna lose custom, not cos they are a poor shop but due to poor layout?

I'm wondering if we live in the same town since our local toy shop has done this recently. Hmm I guess I would say it doesn't exactly show much forward thinking regards customers with babies and buggys and how much more difficult it would be to view the goods without the buggy in tow or having to carry a baby up stairs.

However, plenty of people would go to the shop without kids so not sure that it will hit their bottom line, as it were. I can see why it's a pain though. Smile

Maybe they've gotten fed up with loads of people coming in with buggies and clogging the shop up so have decided to change the layout to make that inconvenient rather than asking people outright not to bring buggies in.
