I thought M&S had the WTF? Award for Advertising sewn up with their recent "utterly repellent menswear" TV ad campaign (hawking waterproof guys' suits). Repellent, indeed.
However, I think I have just seen an ad that tops it. It was for a bikini-area razor (Gilette, I think) and it featured ladies parading around in swimsuits, each passing by shrubbery that miraculously turned into topiary. (Get it? Trim your bush. Har har har.) What f*ing sixteen-year-old boy came up with this stupid and fairly degrading campaign?! What company exec actually thought, YES this will make women buy our product! ARGHHHHHH!
