To not want the people who are looking around the house next door to buy it?

I know it isn't anything to do with me, but they have three large dogs which they have put into the garden. All three are busy barking very loudly now.
Currently we have nine cats on one side and the occasional visit from a dog which barks constantly from being teased by the cats.
Would IBU to stand in the garden making noises to put the prospective owners off?
I think in my heart of hearts I know I am BU. Me and DD are only here for another four months or so, but I do love a little bit of peace.

I was going to say, "Quick, put really loud music on and open all the windows!"

...but if you're moving in a few months I wouldn't worry about it. Especially as house sales don't happen overnight, even if they bought it they'd probably move in just as you were leaving.

Wail like a banshee in the back garden. And maybe burn some feathers. Grin

kreecherlivesupstairs · 01/04/2011 10:46

Gem, I think they do in Belgium, particularly as the house is empty.
I don't need to wail like a banshee, I'll leave that to Mr Overemotional with he nine cats. He does a fair bit of wailing.
Perhaps it's my duty to let them know.............................

YABU. I have three large dogs. They might bark in a strange environment, with those they don't know peering out at them but are perfectly well behaved in their home environment.

Their owners may not like you or other neighbours when your child shrieks, baby cries, kids play outside though... it works both ways. :)

ScarlettWalking · 01/04/2011 10:57

Do something to put them off! Your life will be hell if they move in.

MardyBra · 01/04/2011 10:58

drag out Kreecher from upstairs to put them off

kreecherlivesupstairs · 01/04/2011 11:03

Mardy, we left her behind in Switzerland Grin. Val, I know realistically IABU, the last owner had two lovely dogs who barked.
They've gone now, I'll know soon enough whether they've bought it or not. It has recently been reduced from 255k euros to 225k.

They will scare the cats off, that's for sure!

(Unless like mine, one of whom goes walking with my and others' dogs and one of whom goes across the road to play with the neighbour's collie!).

kreecherlivesupstairs · 01/04/2011 11:25

Well, they've gone now. The man was rather dingdong and the woman looked as if she could be a foul mouthed slapper like me. The dogs were all well behaved and trotted out after them without leads on. The dogs waited until the doors were open then jumped in the car.
The dogs seemed to be much better behaved than my DD!

Spoke too soon, they are back now without the estate agent but with a car full of friends shouting at each other. We may get over emotionals in stereo.
