To think Utterly Repellent is an awful name for a clothing range?

Anyone seen the new M&S ad? With the water repellent trousers. DP tells me its the new name for their "Stormproof" stuff. What on earth were the marketing execs thinking?! I know it's just a name, but still, calling your suit a synonym for repulsive doesn't seem a great plan.

Someone in the M&S marketing department is having themselves a little chuckle, oy finks...

FlorenceCalamityandJoanofArc · 30/03/2011 13:20

Well you're advertising it now aren't you?

ShirleyKnot · 30/03/2011 13:28

I think it's very funny actually and the bloke in the middle is utterly diviiiine

5Foot5 · 30/03/2011 13:30

I think that is a rather clever name actually!
Not bad for marketing types...

YANBU
I am sure someone thinks it is a really funny play on words but actually it isn't funny because, lets face it, a lot of M&S clothing is "utterly repellant"!

ShirleyKnot · 30/03/2011 13:37

haha, fuck, I'm funny.

ConstanceFelicity · 30/03/2011 13:49

It's brilliant!

Not seen it, nor the adverts but, I don't think it would make me run out to buy some. Unless it could be used against next door's cats.
I caught one ninth of them digging my beds settling in for a shit. Ginger twat.
