I find it quite ironic how the police arrest and prosecute protested for smashing up windows on marches against massive companies not paying tax, but do they go in and arrest chairmen of these giant companies when they too are breaking the law?

No.

it seems the police are picking and choosing what law breakers they arrest....

stinks.

OP posts:
Mamaz0n · 28/03/2011 14:53

is the Op a regular? she is posting like a petulant child/troll.

died an oldie? wtf?

I do agree with mitchy about bringing mental illness into threads about mere idiots but i do wonder whether there is more to this than meets the eye. These ramblings seem almost bi polar or something

mayorquimby · 28/03/2011 14:53

Are you mad madamedeathstar? what we need is the police arbitrarily deciding which laws to enforce at a given time dependant on their own morals and ethics. Further to that they should be allowed to make up laws on the spot to keep their ethics enforced.
This won't confuse anyone and will enhance the moral certainty of the country exponentially.

TheCoalitionNeedsYou · 28/03/2011 14:53

An old boss of mine used to tell stories about going to The Ritz for Champagne tea when he was signing on and mini-cabbing on the side in the eighties.

This may not be strictly relevant to the thread.

TandB · 28/03/2011 14:53

Good grief. Well that clinches it. Clearly YANBU, OP. Such well reasoned arguments. Oh hang on a minute..

[shuffles over to Bloofer]

Boooooooooooo!

bemybebe · 28/03/2011 14:54

YABTTTU

I do not know any other country (and I have been to a lot) where police handles issues in such a calm and measured way. It is not ideal, but do you really know what it means to leave in the country where police is REALLY corrupt? Can you please give me examples of countries where police handles issues as you would like them to be handled?

ShirleyKnot · 28/03/2011 14:55

no, bloofer, it CAN'T be that. It can't because that would mean the the OP was an actual cunt, and I refuse to believe it.

As to you Show - hahahaha! I'm not sure who won the fight. It kind of morphed into something about keys and locks and having the wrong.

merrywidow · 28/03/2011 14:55

Not Relevant Coalition, but we could start another thread 'hands up anyone who knows a benefit cheat'

PatriciaHolm · 28/03/2011 14:56

Oh heavens. I have to go get the children now, and I just know this thread is going to be even more byzantine by the time I return!

Play nicely now, and don't poke the bear with pointed sticks, it's not nice.

Oh, I don't think it counted back then or something.

AbsDuCroissant · 28/03/2011 14:57

So, this is what I have ascertained.

The OP didn't go to state school
The OP thinks that the police should enforce morality, but on her (I'm assuming it's a her?) basis, so down with people acting legally, but let people acting illegally go ahead, as otherwise nothing will change
The people have no say in laws or regulations
Parliaments' full of scum
The UK should become socialist, but to what degree, and what type is unclear.

And some random stuff about died an oldie.

Honestly, I can't see why we wouldn't agree with her Hmm

TheCoalitionNeedsYou · 28/03/2011 14:57

My PiL bought a Fridge from Selfridges.

I still think that's really cool.

merrywidow · 28/03/2011 14:59

Me too Patricia, I was doing the housework and I have to leave half the house unvacuumed and then take a trip to that capitalist establishment Hobbycraft to procure fluffy chicks for DS easter bonnet riot

TheCoalitionNeedsYou · 28/03/2011 14:59

I agree with Nick Mariez.

n.b. I don't really.

BlooferLady · 28/03/2011 15:00

Yes I fink we must be mistaken

Still. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 DOWN WITH EVERYTHING! ENOUGH OF THIS SORT OF THING!

MitchiestInge · 28/03/2011 15:00

OP sounds no more insane than anyone who voted labour has very left wing sensibilities, or very right wing

cantspel · 28/03/2011 15:00

Being capitalist oppressor I have a collection of harrods year teddy bears.

tubeofcanesten · 28/03/2011 15:00

Im here to protest - arrest that mariez one cos i think shes avoiding protesting and has falty moral compass

Chil1234 · 28/03/2011 15:01

I'm all for a quick trip back to socialism - wouldn't want to stay there though. Ever seen 'Life on Mars'... aahhhh... 1973-1979 .... those were the days. Just the one type of telephone available from the GPO, and it took three months to be installed. Unlimited selections of tank-tops, mind you. Nightly news bulletins full of quaint, old-fashioned references to 'flying pickets' and 'the IMF'. Three-day weeks. Jimmy Saville. Electricity off for a few hours every night.

merrywidow · 28/03/2011 15:01

Argos is the work of the devil

TheCoalitionNeedsYou · 28/03/2011 15:01

The house my parents bought about 5 years ago had a kitchen that had been bought in Harrods in about 1960.

It might have been great, but no one could tell due to all the cat shit.

"its a crying shame when the all the press report on is the violence of some, not the contents of the speeches, or the other protestors."

There lies the lesson to protesters....if you want to make the news for the right reasons then it would perhaps be a good idea not to go around smashing things up.....hey? Hmm

merrywidow · 28/03/2011 15:03

Your name is utterly fabulous MadameDeathStare

tubeofcanesten · 28/03/2011 15:03
