If they're yours then pick them. If someone else bought the bulbs and planted them, leave them alone.

To clarify, I'm talking about the yearly glut that lines roads, roundabouts, public spaces etc.

They're cheap enough to buy though if you want some.

So they were bought and planted by the council to make your area look pretty for everyone and not to adorn your windowsill.

By all means buy your own...then you'll be able to adorn it every spring.

As long as you don't mind everyone else also picking them to such an extent that there are none left. YANBU.

YABU - you can buy em in the supermarkets for £1 (big bunch) - dont be a tightarse and go and buy some

If it is on owned land, then it is wrong. That includes roundabouts, parks etc.

They are there for all.

You can only do this is it is publically owned land. If it is someone's private proprty you have every right to walk in (as long as its along the edges) and grab what you like

They have been planted by the Council for everyone - for the roundabout to look nice, etc, etc.... They don't tend to just grow wild you you realise?

I would really be unimpressed, if I saw someone doing this.
