To think that clear plastic top/bra straps are not a good look?

I mean, is the plastic strap look 'in' or are we not supposed to be able to see them as well because they are clear? Because they are not discreet, they are awful. Better totally strapless or staps the colour of the top/bra surely?

YANBU! At the weekend my mate said she was going to get a strapless bra to wear under a lace-topped dress. I was dreading the moment she said "...or one of those with clear straps..." Fortunately she didn't! I've already persuaded her not to wear 40 denier opaque black tights with the cream lace-topped dress and dainty shoes so I didn't want my good work undone!

Never used them myself but they look like they'd make you sweaty, or am I wrong on that one? I'm speaking as a person for whom strapless is never going to be an option due to the sheer size of boobage going on.

There is a woman on Come Dine With Me (ch 4+1) at the moment in a RED dress but with a white bra and clear straps!

It looks all kinds of wrong!

Oh - yes sweaty! They feel really uncomfortable and just stick to you, rather than moving with you. I have now binned mine!

what is ood in some places you can et jewelry like bra straps? like pretty ones that arent pretendin not to be there but are nice enouh to be on show..

YANBU. Reeeally sweaty and horrible. The students round here seem to wear them a lot and I was in the queue behind one the other day who'd got a sort of red sweaty heat-rash in neat lines exactly underneath hers ... ewww.

Enough to put me off I think!

Not everyone can afford to buy bras in different colours to match every outfit, though. And strapless isn't always that comfortable or flattering.

I honestly think, hand on heart, that they are just the worst fashion "accessory" every invented. I mean, honestly, wtf? What is the point of them? Everyone can see them. Might as well wear no bra and let your boobs droop down to your knees - they would be less noticeable.

I was watching Come Dine With Me which was what made me realise how hideous I thought they were! Im afraid though, I have been guiltu of the black bra and white top though. I was much younger than I am now though.

Horrid horrid horrid, they should be put in a fire along with scrunchies and pink velour.

Particularly nasty when the bra's a bit old and takes on a yellowish tinge. vomit.

You can get away with only owning 3 colours of bra, Black, white and Nude really if you think about it (or if you're poor but have huge baps like me) without things looking too dire imo. You certainly don't have to stoop to placcy straps!

Plastic straps are beyond hideous. A decent strapless bra will stay up and if you're too busty to wear one that fits properly, then the plastic strips will slice you to bits.

Black bra and white top only works if you have very dark skin. Nude is the sensible alternative for caucasian skintones.

Oh I have some of those jewelled ones!! I was given them for Xmas by my evil SIL. I had to ask her what they were, as I couldn't figure out how the necklace fitted together Blush.

Never worn them. Hoping if I hold on to them long enough, I can give them back to SIL for xmas one year evil cackle Grin

I'm thinking of trying a trip to Rigby and pellor with a strappy top and challenging them to find me a solution to contain my norkage in a dignified manner. Will be interesting I think.
