Oh dear, you poor thing. It's about now you desperately need to find that tenner at the back of your purse that you didn't see earlier in the week...

Seriously, can you not borrow a few pounds off someone at least for the meter? I know everyone says don't borrow, but I probably would under these circumstances, just to tide me over til Thurs.

Hope you feel better soon.

GypsyMoth · 26/03/2011 11:00

wow....how much is your emergency credit? mines only £5 and would no way last that long

stick something on netmums local for sale section.....it might go this weekend, its what i usually do. even if its just something that you want a fiver for.

CheekyLittleSox · 26/03/2011 11:03

Mhm tried that Onetoomany

My mum is skint
My dads a tight area
My sister has over £500 in her account which she has saved up for her new bond for her new house which she isnt paying until the 8th of april, i asked her to lend me £20 til Wednesday and she says 'no iv got to pay my bond end of next week' so i explain that i would transfer it straight back on wednesday morning but ohhh no thats not good enough.

So if on monday or tuesday my electric goes im not going to ask for anything il just sit in the dark/cold/no food/no hot water/no light/no nothing.

i just feel like crying and i woouldnt be so bad if i wasnt on :(

If you pm me CheekyLittleSox I can send you a £5 - I'm on the edge myself so sorry I can't offer more but if a couple of others do the same too you'll be ok.

Been there myself many times Cheeky and I didn't think you were begging at all. It's hard at the moment for so many people and there's no shame in it.
Just pm if you change your mind. No big deal, really.

CheekyLittleSox · 26/03/2011 11:20

Cheers Catkin its very nice of you.

We'l survive, we have to in this day and age don't we? Everyones in the same boat.

Sad CheekyLittleSox, It is crap isn't it.

I have worked really hard over the last year to get on an even keel and ahead of myself. And this month was going to be Dday.
But DS ran up £120 over his phone Bill. But I worked really hard to both pay it and make sure I didn't go overdrawn so i wouldn't get charges. I checked what was due to go out online and put in enough to cover it all. I was so happy with myself. But this morning I noticed a cheque had gone out that the online service was supposed to notify me about but didn't. It is a really old cheque that I had lost track of. So not only have I gone overdrawn but it will acrue loads of interest over the weekend so charges will be high. Sad

I would have loved to have offered to help also otherwise. I know how hard it is.

I really hope things pan out for you over the next few days.
