... a thread all of your own where you can moan at length about how BORING the whole subject is, and how deeply UNNECESSARY it is to keep discussing it.

Maybe you could have a little game. Breastfeeding cliche bingo.

Marks awarded for the following :

"wapping huge boobs out"
"breastfeeding mafia"
"breastfeeding nazis"
"formula isn't poison!"
"happy mother happy baby"
"I wasn't giving my newborn a fruit shoot ffs"
"they shot me dirty looks because I was ff"
"my children are all ff and they're all elite athletes and Cambridge scholars"
"hanging off your nipples"
"sit around breastfeeding all day"
"being pressurised and bullied into breastfeeding
"I was made to feel bad for formula feeding"

It's all yours ladies. Don't thank me. Just enjoy. And stop coming onto the other thread moaning about how wrong it is to discuss how babies are fed. Smile

Oh I thought she was quoting you from what she said.

Apologies.

glad she didn't stick her Vs up.

twilight3 · 25/03/2011 20:13

I haven't even read the other thread but this is bound to have come up

"I'm just too lazy to bother with formula" and
"each to their own BUT..."
"...best start in life..."

....oh it's almost as if I've rad the thread before... Grin

twilight3 · 25/03/2011 20:13

Okaaaayyy, there are obviously two very different sets of people on this thread.... I don't want to get involved in a bunfight, so I'll go in search of another Friday night entertainment thread. Anyone talking about bumsex yet?

ShirleyKnot · 25/03/2011 20:14

you'd have lost those fingers, I bite!

yes but ditto numbertaker

it is also cruel and patronising to dismiss or worse ridicule bfing.
fed up of women tearing each other apart - where is your fucking solidarity?

save the scathing comments for situations that warrant them

whatever your feed your baby every women has the right to feel supported.

MilaMae · 25/03/2011 20:17

When I am next gripped by the urge for twee patterned crockery, I am sorted.

petisa · 25/03/2011 21:10

can't be arsed faffing about with bottles...

no wait! that was one of my reasons for doing bf this time around Grin

the bf/ff threads just go on and on and round and round for eternity, don't they. loads of mners say they need to give it a rest and it's boring and doesn't matter, but if so many women didn't think it was so important those threads wouldn't exist, would they? i suppose it's pretty fundamental, feeding your baby. shame there are so many women tearing strips off other women on those threads, where's the solidarity?

Spudulika · 25/03/2011 21:13

Exactly petisa.

People want to talk about it.

Or they want to talk about why other people want to talk about it!

Everyone on the bf/ff threads falls into one of those camps!

OP posts:
pigletmania · 25/03/2011 21:13

Well it is, its been done to death, the same arguments

pigletmania · 25/03/2011 21:14

usualsuspect · 25/03/2011 21:14
