To use the word "iridescent"... (sorry in advance - sex related - kind of)

...to describe cum?
(sorry!)

I happened to use that word the other day, when talking about cum (I have no idea why I was talking about the visual properties of ejaculate with my husband) and DH thought it hilarious, and claimed that he could confidentally bet that I am the only person on this estate who has ever uttered that sentence.

I personally don't know how else you would describe it, although tbh "iridescent" isn't perfect - shimmery? It is certainly not sparkly. (Although I do know someone who claimed his is glittery, but he was trying to chat someone up at the time - I have no idea why he thought she would find this attractive, but he was saying this from a stage, where he was makeuped and in very tight and low cut trousers so it was kind of appropiate)

DH reckons it is unusual to think about these things in such detail, but I reckon that at least one other mumsnetter has considered this question.

OK, so I'm rambling, but, basically, do most people just kind of get on with it, or do you think of words to describe what you see in daily life?

(Ha! Daily? I have two children and I am married - sex is but a memory...)

I'm right there with ya! I too share these bizarre thoughts!!!

OnEdge · 24/03/2011 23:01

I just wish it was like liquid chocolate, it would solve many of society's problems.

cunexttuesonline · 24/03/2011 23:02

Hmm I have never seen iridescent or shimmery cum. Shiny, yes, as it's liquid, but not iridescent. I'd say it's more a flat colour, creamy/whitey and like watered down hand lotion?

shakey1500 · 24/03/2011 23:03

OnEdge- if only! I might be tempted to swallow then :)

OnEdge · 26/03/2011 22:03

Yeah, there would be a great deal more happy ladies and therefore a great deal more happy men. Less teenage pregnancies and some very angry lesbians Grin

boobellina · 26/03/2011 22:06

damn you OnEdge have just had to explain to DH why I chuckled and the clever bastard is claiming his is liquid chocolate but is so long since I had a taste I have just forgotten!

Leela2 · 26/03/2011 22:08

Pearlescent??

bellaella16 · 26/03/2011 22:08

your DH thinks its unusual to think about these things?
hehe show me a man who has not examined the whole thing in detail!!! :)

piprabbit · 26/03/2011 22:12

As in rainbowy?

Think I'm with Wanksock with the hand lotion description.

worraliberty · 26/03/2011 22:16

He's being unreasonable.

For all he knows, during the summer when everyone's windows are open he might overhear a neighbour screeching "Waaayyne, fuck me your spunk aint half iridescent tonight! You been dipping your dick in the tart dahn the puuuub?"

Judge not too soon Grin

Mandy2003 · 26/03/2011 22:48

I think it's iridescent when it's dried HmmBlush

FabbyChic · 26/03/2011 22:49

Is there really a need to describe it in detail? Do people do that? Its white and sticky, and extremely wet.

JazzAnnNonMouse · 26/03/2011 23:26

if it was glittery I would vajazzle myself Grin

cumfy · 27/03/2011 00:13

opalescent ?

Geocentric · 27/03/2011 00:17

I think it should be fluorescent. That would be cool!
But chocolate flavour... good idea! Although maybe we would have to taste like Belgian Waffles for it to work out. Grin

MitchiestInge · 27/03/2011 00:23

Are you sure this isn't research whilst writing some terrible erotic prose? It could coruscate (ahh a favourite word) if it was magic jizz or at least glisten?
