that i would like him to learn to watch thing that I find scary at first

cause some films are really amazing but the scary bits do me in and I cant watch them

I love Fringe, but it can be a bit scary.

The childhood trick of holding a cushion on your lap, and hiding behind it for the worst bits might help? Get your partner to give you a commentary of what he can see whilst you are hiding.

Try to watch the credits, so you can see who does the make up etc, reinforcing the fact it's entertainment.
