For carrying her bloody handbag everywhere with her. Why? None of the others do. Irrational maybe, but it really grates on me.

I'm not watching the programme in question (presuming its the reality junior socs programme in Newcastle).

However, I am a doctor and I have a handbag I take everywhere with me (a small black accross the body bag). We are not allowed to wear jackets (have to be 'bare below the elbow' and not many smart womens clothes have pockets in. Just where do you expect me to put my wallet, keys, bleep, phone and patient information? In my pants?

YellowDinosaur · 23/03/2011 18:54

docs not socs

mitochondria · 23/03/2011 18:54

Maybe she's got something important in there.

VivaLeBeaver · 23/03/2011 18:55

Which one is it? The brunette, female one?

The reason the others don't is that they are blokes or the blonde one works in a&e (so one ward where there will be a locked staffroom).

If you're not on a&e then you're probably running about between a couple of wards and a clinic, etc. She needs somewhere to keep her purse, keys and believe me the NHS don't provide staff with lockers. Apart from big lockers in the changing room for the nurses but the Drs won't be allocated one.

practicallyimperfect · 23/03/2011 18:56

I just wonder why the others don't, the other two women. Isn't there an office/locker.

I actually know iabu, but she always look like she is ready to leave.

The nice blonde Irish one? I like her - hadn't noticed the handbag. I like harrassed grumpy facial hair bloke as well.

practicallyimperfect · 23/03/2011 18:56

Ah ok fair enough. It would so my head in.

practicallyimperfect · 23/03/2011 18:57

No the one who looks like she is 12 and always looks terrified.

Agree absolutely with YellowDinosaur we have a few lockers in our unit but they are in the loos because of lack of space and are broken into by visitors quite regularly. Even clothes get stolen when we have changed into scrubs. Clothes we cannot carry around in a handbag can we.

sharbie · 23/03/2011 18:59

i love the show - that blonde girls nose fascinates me

DarrellRivers · 23/03/2011 18:59

Very useful carrying a bag if you don't wear a jacket or a white-coat with packets for storing all your crap vitally important life-saving stuff like your Oxford Handbook of Medicine and the bane delight of your life, the bleep

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/03/2011 18:59

I'm with you on this! Yes she always looks like she out of there. She must leave her coat somewhere. It must get in the way, it would certainly get on my tits.

MangoTango · 23/03/2011 19:05

YellowDinosaur Why don't you wear a safari suit? That would have lots of pockets. Wink

YellowDinosaur · 23/03/2011 19:07

Mangotango where have you been all my life with your helpful style advice? I'm off to internet shop for one now! Grin

VivaLeBeaver · 23/03/2011 19:10

I haven't noticed anything odd about Suzi's nose. What's up with it?

sharbie · 23/03/2011 19:11

its all in the nostrils beaver

VivaLeBeaver · 23/03/2011 19:13

Found a photo of her - her nostrils do seem to face forwards a bit rather than down don't they.

mmsmum · 23/03/2011 19:13

I know this might be a bit off topic, but why don't hospitals provide a changing room for staff with lockers and showers? I'm shocked they don't

sharbie · 23/03/2011 19:14

and they move when she speaks too

campion · 23/03/2011 19:56

I wish the dark haired one'd get the hair out of her eyes.
And that pink stethoscope? She complains about not being taken seriouslyHmm

pootros · 23/03/2011 20:07

I'm sure if it were navy she'd be a far better doctor. FFS.
