I think she's great. She writes her own stuff too. Unlike Kylie, Rhianna, Britney etc. She's number one in dozens of countries so she must be doing something right!

I think she is great too. Her new album is brilliant.

I was just thinking this today when listening to her song "rolling in the deep".
No doubt she is talented but I don't think she's as good as people make out. They were praising her on American Idol the other night, comparing a contestant to her.

Well she writes her own lyrics for a start, she isnt manufactured and has an appeal and image all her own, her music stands on its own merit considering how popular she is.

Her voice is different, like Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, not all singers have to sound the stereotypical or expected Beyonce type vocalist. Different voices can add something different to the music.

Her voice is beautiful IMO.

So it evokes emotion, another reason why her music is great.

I thought she was great on the Brits. All of the other artists had loads of effects/lights/mad costumes. For Adele, all she needed was a piano and she was amazing.

One artist I can happily let dd listen to. This morning she was singing some song about chains and whips by Rhianna I think, sounded horrendous.

her voice does soud strained and is uppy downy (technical term)

She is the Alison moyet for this era. But no way as good. All that false eyelash batting and fake sobbing at the Brits.

Her songs aren't all that either.

I love make you feel my love and I think her voice is great - very unusual. I also love the fact that she doesn't conform to the big hair extensioned, orange, practically naked stereotype of young female singers in ther charts. God I sound about 90! Sorry.....

Because she is almost plump and a little bit ginger and in these times of blonde + perfection + uniformity = success that is refreshing

She can also hold a tune and writes her own stuff, stuff imbibed with meaning and emotion, which is beyond refreshing and actually pretty rare

I like her, but it disappoints me that so few people realise that "Make You Feel My Love" is a Dylan cover and that most of her other material including "Someone Like You" is 'co-written'. Once you know that she doesn't seem quite so special.

Why is anyone popular? Because people like them. Not rocket science.

She is a bit manufactured though isn't she? Isn't she a "graduate" of the Brit school? She's pretty good at what she does (grudging praise) but it's nothing new or ground-breaking. She's just another big lass with a big voice
