Seemed quiet last nite and didnt want any tea. Up in the night once with temp of 38.5, settled with calpol.
Seems ok this am, on good form. Temp 37.5. Gave more calpol.
DP been at work all weekend so could do with some time out but don't want this to override my decision making re him going to nursery....
WWYD?

Don't think I'd send him. Ime, they're always OK in the mornings unless really really ill and still could feel worse as the day wears on. Or, as happened with DS1 this week, could pick up something else as is already low. Or infect others...

Is DP around at all in the week? I know what it's like to have a DP not around at the weekend - can be hard. Smile

I'd keep him at home.

The nurseries I used had a health policy which covered raised temperature (ie keep at home until normalised).

What is the policy at yours?

Thanks toerags and frantic. Not what I wanted to hear I spose but advice nonetheless which is why I posted, so thankyou for responding. Ahm DP is around from about six most evenings so its not too bad. We are seriously broke at the mo so he is grabbing weekend work when he can. A help financially but not good for my sanity!!

The policy at my nursery is if he has been given calpol to keep his temp down then he should not be at nursery, from what i've read from your post you gave him calpol cause his temp was 37.5, this morning, so there fore should not go to nursery.

Note. 37.5 is not classed as a temp at nursery, so would not have required calpol.

Meditrina I should really know the answer to that but dont Blush I'd imagine it would be the same though.

we sent DD to nursery last week with a temp and a cold. Since the cold came from nursery we weren't concerned about sharing the bugs. Since she was fine, a bit quiet and a bit more cuddly than normal we sent her and they were happy to have her.

Our nursery copes happily with fevers and will administer calpol if nec. I guess it depends on your nursery policy etc.

Hope he's feeling better today.
