Asked DP and he says, 'Clearly you are not a man, it's too much like multitasking.'

HTH.

Firawla · 20/03/2011 23:13

I do this sometimes, didn't realise it would be considered gross? I just consider it multi tasking. so no yanbu.

PenguinArmy · 20/03/2011 23:16

stranded Grin I don't wash my body/hair and brush my teeth at the same time, (just like you wouldn't shave your legs at the same time).

DH is most upset atm.

hissymissy · 20/03/2011 23:17

I do this. Never considered it as minging. Why is it minging?

reddaisy · 20/03/2011 23:17

I do it when I am running late. I brush while my conditioner is on. I don't think it is gross - bet your DH pees in the shower so it is better than that!! Wink

backwardpossom · 20/03/2011 23:19

I do it now and again... nothing minging about it.

icapturethecastle · 20/03/2011 23:21

I do it! What is wrong with it? I usually do it last before I hop out.

bibbitybobbityhat · 20/03/2011 23:23

Utterly minging.

For starters, who wants to brush their teeth in hot water?

Minging

minging

minging

you mingy mingers.

Honeydragon · 20/03/2011 23:25

Yes I do it too, dh does it too Smile
my mum thinks we are both minging though as she thinks only cold water should be used to clean teeth.

Actually my Ds does too sometimes now I think about it.

PenguinArmy · 20/03/2011 23:26

DH says it because you're spitting where peoples feet are going. Ignoring the fact that for me the soap part comes afterwards and would wash it away.

OP posts:
backwardpossom · 20/03/2011 23:27

But surely the water coming out of the shower washes it away Hmm

emsyj · 20/03/2011 23:27

DH does this and it irks me. Not sure why.

weedle · 20/03/2011 23:30

I'm with bibbity - you don't brush your teeth with hot water!! Eurgh

RevoltingPeasant · 20/03/2011 23:32

OF COURSE you brush your teeth with hot water, you freaks!!

Surely you wash anything that you really want to get clean in hot water?

Penguin do you ever pee in the shower at the same time as brushing your teeth? That would be efficient....

WinterOfOurDiscountTents · 20/03/2011 23:32

I do this. Whats odd about it? Much easier to really scrub cos you don't have to worry about getting toothpaste on your clothes like I do children do.

togarama · 20/03/2011 23:33

Yes - I've always done this. Showering and tooth brushing are both very boring and I like to get them out of the way at the same time.

My friends think it's minging too.

bibbitybobbityhat · 20/03/2011 23:33

I am utterly shocked Shock

MitchiestInge · 20/03/2011 23:34

I LOVE brushing my teeth in the shower! Is it because the water is warm? But somehow feels wrong to use hot water from the tap so it can't just be that.

givemushypeasachance · 20/03/2011 23:35

No, but I do sometimes brush my teeth on the toilet. Not if engaging in any sort of "serious business", but if it's just a quick pee and I've just got out of bed so am still half-asleep...

(I've just outed myself as a complete personal hygiene pariah now haven't I?)

frantic51 · 20/03/2011 23:41

Personally, I couldn't brush my teeth in hot water but I wouldn't call anyone minging for doing so. Shock

mayorquimby · 20/03/2011 23:44

It's all kinds of awesome.

sharbie · 20/03/2011 23:56

v bad for your health - hot water not safe to drink iirc

Surely most people don't swallow much water when brushing your teeth, so you're no more likely to swallow more water than you do when you generally shower anyway.
