Not MY shower head purveyor The very idea Shock

PurveyorOfWoo · 21/03/2011 11:20

Well quite Winter, doesn't bear thinking about does it Confused

I don't like taking my DCs in the shower for that reason.

PurveyorOfWoo · 21/03/2011 11:21

I heard MrsDV that yours is the Very Worst Wink

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/03/2011 11:23

I have never ever considered brushing my teeth in the shower.

My dd brushes her teeth whilst getting dressed, the wierdo. I shout at her to get back in the bathroom. Why walk around with a toothbrush in your mouth?

Washing your knickers in the shower? This thread is full of fraeks.

Morloth · 21/03/2011 11:23

How would a shower head have any more bacteria on it than any of the other taps/faucets?

GetOrfMoiLand · 21/03/2011 11:24

MrsDV - we so need a Matryr emoticon Grin

A smiley with a sanctimonious look on its face, with a halo.

Geocentric · 21/03/2011 11:27

Eco-friendly, isn't it? If you brush teeth and pee in the shower it saves on using tap water and flushing the toilet... Wink

thefirstMrsDeVere · 21/03/2011 11:52

yes! We must. Never mind the wine and the cups of tea - some of us dont get time for so much as a sip and a crumb during the day!

How very dare you perveyor Angry

PenguinArmy · 21/03/2011 15:12

DH has conceded that maybe it isn't that bad, but he still doesn't like it.

Urine and other stuff is sterile he says, then I pointed out his pits and other areas most likely have bacterial growths. He also thinks your all conspiring against him Grin

Thanks all :)

What a brilliant time saving idea! Why did I not ever think of this?

Ahem I am so not a fraek GOML I concede I might possibly be a freak though. Grin

minipie · 22/03/2011 18:08

I don't think it's grim, but how is it multi tasking? Surely while you're brushing your teeth you can't be doing any of the other washing tasks like hair or face washing. Just means you are longer in the shower (and use up more hot water...)

mmsmum · 22/03/2011 18:44

I thought everyone brushed their teeth in the shower? I don't do it every time I shower, at least I don't think I do. It's an electric shower and I clean the shower head when I clean the rest of the bathroom so perfectly clean

I do think brushing while on the loo is pushing the boundaries though, that's a bit eww

UndiscoveredApprentice · 22/03/2011 18:45

I do this every single day!

mmsmum · 22/03/2011 18:45

Btw, it's my hot water, I pay for it, I use it. I love the shower and it's my business how long I spend in it

cumfy · 24/03/2011 11:18

How is it time saving ?

Do you wash your hair at the same time ?

iskra · 24/03/2011 11:20

I do sometimes. It gives me an excuse to stand in the lovely hot water while DP entertains DD for a little longer!

lovemybodenmac · 24/03/2011 11:24

i atill pee in the shower and the bath!!!

jasminetom · 24/03/2011 12:56

I think it's a brilliant idea! I have to get up at 4.45am to start work at 6am and always leave teeth till last and then rush. Starting tomorrow I will try it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/03/2011 13:10

sounds fab, a way to save time and we all know us woman can multitask :)

Where do you keep your toothbrushes/toothpaste then?

Or do you have a set at the sink for times when you want to brush your teeth but aren´t in the shower?

And how does it save time?

Has it been scientifically proven that 3 mins brushing in the shower is less than 3 mins brushing at the sink?

ShirleyKnot · 24/03/2011 13:51

Hang on, hang on. I have never even thought about brushing my teeth in the shower, or while in the bath or anywhere other than at the sink, like a normal human being.

But.

The thing that has shocked me the most - in fact, I don't think I have ever been so shocked at anything on Mumsnet ever before, seriously, I am jaw agape - is that some people brush their teeth with HOT water.

What the actual Jeff? Seriously, that is so far beyond fucked up as to be comparable with murder. Yes, you are as bad as murderers.
