to think too many people are out looking to take offence over the trivial stuff?

I'm not talking here of the horrible stuff, the racism, etc. I'm talking of the "someone said this to me, how rude, especially given that I'd already done this for them"...

My parents have a ledger book of offences "we invited them last time, so we're waiting for an invite from them", etc, etc.

I just think life is far too short to be worried about trivial, minor things that we could take offence at. Ok, so this would eliminate about 50% of the AIBU threads, but so much of it is oh so trivial

I've never been so insulted in all my life.

I think people use MN to vomit their trivia and petty irritations all over tbh

AIBU seems more trivia-related related rather than the venom of old (IMO anyway)

Bitching about stuff on here stops me blurting out what a twat I think someone is to their face.

Public service, really.

Where's Fabby anyway, she's normally good for this! Wink

Yes, and it's a bit annoying
