Iwas given lots of baby wash/oil/lotion for dd when she was born but its all so heavily scented it makes me feel a bit light headed!

I can't understand really, dd smells of biscuits why should I cover that up with chemical synthetic smell?

Babies aren't sweaty or smelly? [confused} why the need for manufacturs to add fragrence?

DS smells of Dentinox cradle cap shampoo at the moment and it's lush Grin

There's nothing nicer than the smell of the top of a baby's head

This "gets" me too.
Here in Spain as soon as your baby is born they take him/her away and bathe them in the most heavyly scented stuff imaginable.

They do this every day until you leave the Hospital.
I was distraught when they brought DS1 one back all coiffured and ponging of products!

Copious amounts of Baby cologne is also the norm here - I just don´t understand it Confused

Ooh the true smell of a newborn - only wish it could be bottled!!

YANBU

My babies smell gorgeous too even the toddler.

I've never used anything with scent on them and in fact still only use water to wash them down.

I do have some natural baby wash that I use on the toddlers hair because he has loads of it and we are getting to the point where the toddler needs something slightly more than water to clean him with being at nursery and playing in the garden/park but the baby still smells gorgeous so just a tiny bit of baby wash evey now and again but not very much at all.

I jut love the baby smell.

My first is allergic to SLS and sensitive to most products. Even Halos and Horns gives her a rash. I never use heavily perfumed things on my three as a result and they smell lovely.

My dp says ds smells of biscuits! We don't use soap or bubble bath as ds has eczema so just moisturiser and bath oil. I think he smells lovely unless he is snotty, then he smells of snot and it's gross. I must admit I love the smell of johnsons baby soap/powder but have only ever used it on myself!

my nickname foe ds was "biscuit" for exactly that reason Smile
