Normally I race back from the station, pick up DS from nursery, race home, get him in the bath just in time for DH to get home, make himself a cup of tea and then fall asleep on the bed whilst pretending to read or listen to me read bedtime story.

Tonight my train was cancelled, have to wait for next one. DH has had to leave work on time, pick up DS and is currently moaning that I won't be home until he's done all the work Hmm.

If my car wasn't at the station I'd buy a G&T!

Have a hot chocolate

southeastastra · 17/03/2011 18:13

can't you share it so you both don't have to rush?

Underachieving · 17/03/2011 18:15

Nothing unreasonable about that Grin

GollyHolightly · 17/03/2011 18:15

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. In fact, isn't the next train cancelled too?

NoWayNoHow · 17/03/2011 18:16

I'd be doing a dance of joy in celebration of all being right with the world! YANBU

messybessie · 17/03/2011 18:17

My word, imagine if they were all cancelled. I might have to check into a hotel. With a large bath. And a mini bar.

Dont forget to claim a refund

AllGoodNamesGone · 17/03/2011 18:19

Go buy yourself a newspaper, a hot chocolate and a sticky bun, and find a quiet corner to relax in.

I am sure your DH will love spending some quality time with his child in the meantime!

Enjoy!
