Reading MN, there are so many threads about bad parents, bad ex-partners, other bad mothers, etc, with very little recognition that we might sometimes be the bad people.

Are MNers just better than other people?

Oh I don't think you are looking hard enough Grin There always seem to be some self-deprecating threads about how crap we are at X, Y and Z. And threads begging for advice on how to parent better.

I have to say, not been on MN very long but it has made me feel sometimes like a bit of a shoddy parent Blush

I tend to do loads of things that are a bit crap (fruit shoots, chicken dippers, I could go on but want to keep some self respect) and I thought I was normal, lol.

Enjoying it though, interesting to see things from all sides.

I am the best parent ever!

(Really not. Have a thread going about my DD and her refusals to say sorry atm)

Statistically 16% of children across all social classes are abused, and there are 100s thousands of registered users on MN so actually and somewhat scarily it is reasonably likely that there are some very bad parents on here.

Take everything with a pinch of salt.
