Am I unreasonable in wanting a job I am interested in rather than quote" all you need is a bit of a nothing job to bring in a bit of money and not interfere in anything" !!!!!

Having sent out my cv and having no feedback (except for one interview which had over 60+ applicants for a 6 month contract of 4 shifts a week which I didn't get)for jobs that I could do standing on my head whilst singing rule britannia and tightrope walking at the same time!

There's your answer - you're applying for jobs for which you are over-qualified. Think big!

You need to tailor your CV to the job you are applying for to stand a better chance of getting it. If that means dumbing it down a bit, then thats what you have to do.

I'm trying to go back to work too. I'm looking for anything as we need the money, but I too am finding that companies don't want me because I'm over qualified for some of the positions I've applied for. I guess they know that whatever you think before getting the job, it will be come monotonous and boring after a while and then they'll be looking for someone else to fill the spot again...
