I feel a bit bad cos I know ds would rather do outside. But I'm pg, tired and pelvic pain and just want to be somewhere I can have a cuppa and not run around after him. Also, somewhere where we have no issue about when it's time to leave.

no issue here-you come first today Grin

there will be plenty of other park/playground days

Weta · 17/03/2011 10:08

Don't feel bad - he won't know there was a choice (!) and will have a lovely time anyway, plus it will be much easier and more relaxing for you.

Someone will be along soon to tell you that pregnancy is not an illness.

Ignore them though and take him. YANBU.

MilkNoSugarPlease · 17/03/2011 10:29

YABU, Pregnancy isn't an illness you know Hmm

:o :o

YANBU!! Go, sit, drink tea and relax!!!

plopplopquack · 17/03/2011 10:40

ergh why do people say that "pregnancy not a illness" thing. Like that's relevant. If you feel ill because you are ill or feel ill because you are pregnant then the feeling is the same.

Do whatever suits you best today.

bupcakesandcunting · 17/03/2011 10:41

My mum used to say it to me, the cheeky swine. No pregnancy is not an illness but the accompanying fatigue, SPD and chronic, eye-watering heartburn is!

cherrychoo · 17/03/2011 10:43

Well, its clear isnt it....get yourself to toddler group, have tea and relax.

Loads more nice days coming up when you are feeling up to it.

GOGOGOOOOOOO.... Grin

Go! Toddler groups were my savior when I was PG with DD2. Come rain or heat wave shine, we'd be there!

Lookandlearn · 17/03/2011 19:44

Thank you all! Had a great time at toddler group and ds didn't mind at all. In fact, it gave me the energy to spend the afternoon in the garden when would prob have naturally chosen sofa. Now - just checking Aibu to have had the teensiest little nap this afternoon while ds slept? Wink

Btw I think the "pregnancy is not an illness" comment must have started when a pg woman who was fed up with being Mollycoddled against her will said it to someone else. You know, like people keep telling me I shouldn't lift ds at the mo. Not that I mind actually, it shows they care. But for goodness sake, try morning sickness or Spd in a non pg state and tell me you'd not take the day off!
