Hello sorry I;m posting here because of the higher traffic.

I have a light rash on my wrists and feet and a bit on my upper arms that has come and gone for 3 days now. As far as I know I have no allergies, I have not eaten anything new or strange, I haven't changed washing powder or perfume or shampoo etc... I cannot work it out and it's scaring me. It's itchy but not particularly severe and I want to know what the bloody hell is happening to my body, I've never had any type of skin complaint before.

God rashes are so worrying but so hard to identify aren't they?

Have you felt unwell these few days, temp?

MosEisley · 16/03/2011 22:37

Go to the doctor?! How are you going to get an accurate diagnosis from a talk board?!

happiestblonde · 16/03/2011 22:38

Yes.

really sore throat, slight fever and head aches. I put it down to the onset of flu or tonsilitis. I have no ongoing health concerns, the rash is not pussy or that noticeable but it itches and keeps coming back. DP is googling like a maniac and hte nearest explanation to symptoms says I have a tick [hmm[

oops Hmm

I don't want to trouble a doctor with a small rash and thought people here might know what it is.

Ah, I had a rash after tonsillitis once. Docotr prescribed some anti-histamines thinking it could be an allergy to ibuprofen Hmm and it went away aftyer few days.

Mine was worse, though, everywhere, itchy and raised.

I would think some sort of post-viral thing.

squeakytoy · 16/03/2011 22:43

If you have been stressed it could be a mild form of eczema. My husband gets flare ups like that occasionally, in exactly the same spots that you have described. Sudocreme usually clears it overnight.

MosEisley · 16/03/2011 22:43

Hmm. Yes, I had a rash once. Or maybe even twice. So I went to the doctor and got some cream and it went away.

YABU.

I've never had eczema before. It could be tonsilitis. Rashes scare me, the only one I've had before was during a by-election because the libdems put chemicals on their signs and we removed them and it was pretty nasty. I don't like bothering doctors for nothing.
