I sit down to watch masterchef and there is ds giving a running commentary and pounding the rugby ball, up and down, twirling it around, again and again, over and over and over.... On the other chair i have dd who is doing homework and constantly whistling a tuneless noise........

why are they not in bed?

why don't you ask them to be quiet/go somewhere else??

mumsiepie · 16/03/2011 21:34

Too old to be in bed now and for some strange reason they like to be in the same room as me!! I was going to add dd is coughing loudly too but that is just mean!

atswimtwolengths · 16/03/2011 21:39

You don't know how old they are, thisisyesterday! They could be in their twenties!

chasingrainbows · 16/03/2011 21:40

mumsiepie - the exact same is happening here. Its like a 6th sense with kids - you sit down to watch one thing and chaos erupts. i miss EVERY programme i plan on watching due to this. Im off for Wine and suggest you do the same.

mumsiepie · 16/03/2011 21:41

I know!!They could well be by the way they act

thisisyesterday · 16/03/2011 21:54

well yes, they could be in their 20's... but i'd expect someone in their twenties to actually think about other people...?

atswimtwolengths · 16/03/2011 22:01

thisisyesterday, I think Mumsiepie was just after a bit of sympathy!

mumsiepie · 16/03/2011 22:04

Anyway things are not so bad now with the Wine thanks chasingrainbows xx

well i wanted more details before i gave my sympathy!

ie, are they young enough to be told to get to bed, or old enough to be told to shut up or go somewhere else!

and she already has wine

mumsiepie · 16/03/2011 22:06
