To be a big old judgypants when I see...

Adults smoking in the car with anyone under 18?

It really upsets me sometimes when I see tots basically being ferried around in a capsule of toxic fumes...

No YANBU. I do smoke and do smoke in the car, but not when DD is there. I am sure that someone will come along and tell me my toxins will stay for the next 40 days and nights, but I can live with that.

Yanbu
they could at least open a window

compo · 16/03/2011 14:57

Are you really thinking people will say yabu?

bananasinpjamas · 16/03/2011 15:05

"Are you really thinking people will say yabu?"

Erm, well, if people can do this then, yes.

I'm one of those really REALLY judgey people who judges anyone who smokes. Anywhere

But I rarely say anything - I just judge, silently

*firmly hoiks up judgey pants and attaches judgey pant braces

we ex smokers are BLOODY AWFUL Grin

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 16/03/2011 15:52

Quite an odd post.

Are you waiting for the smokers to turn up and say 'YABU I blow smoke in my childs face all the time and he bloody LOVES it'?

'cause it aint gonna happen.

So stop bumping your own odd thread.

In Davis, California the police will pull you over and ticket you if you are seen smoking in a car with a child.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 16/03/2011 17:12

Do you ID the occupants or something? Confused

My Mum used to smoke with four children in the back of the car, we used to open windows. Not great but we got over it. It was a different time and place.

Whilst I don't think smoking in enclosed places is nice for anybody who doesn't smoke, I have to admire the sheer dogged persistance of those who will smoke in the car with children present... they must have nerves of steel.

my dad use to smoke in the car with window cracked open and me (as a child) in the back too. i nver really gave it a second thought back then and he doesnt smoke anymore but i wouldnt want to be in a car with a smoker now.
