My DH is away at the moment and I have 3 kids under age of 5.

I have been waking at 6am every morning and have not stopped until 8pm when the last one is in bed. I have not had a drink or a meal in peace and I am utterly shattered.

So it begs the question - how do single parents do it? I normally work full time and my DH is a SAHD but I do as much as I can to help him.

The main reason I am posting is to give a massive round of applause to all stay at home parents who have no family support and who may find their partners away for long spells.

I will give you a massive round of applause! Nope I have no idea how single parents do it either!

It must be hard to do if you are used to being at work too. I know I've built up lots of tricks to help me get through the day. When DH is left to it I have to point out ways of doing stuff as he is not used to it.
