Dear HEalth Professional, FYI: if there was an easy way to stop my SN from being awkward I would indeed gladly use it.

But there isn't, so being told that there are lots of people waiting, sighing impatiently and telling ds that he's big enough isn't really getting us anywhere.

Sad and Angry

Oh dear, what happened?

You have really had to fight for your ds havent you?

travellingwilbury · 11/03/2011 20:52

And also doesn't sound either professional or caring

supersewer · 11/03/2011 20:53

did they know DS had SN? Not really an excuse but a bit more forgiveable - maybe!

emkana · 11/03/2011 20:54

It was just a chest x ray. Last time we had a lovely lady who really put ds at ease - this time a man who just looked at ds's dob and felt he should grow up or something.

Had exactly the same with DS2 recently.Knee xray -the women was gruffly telling him to get up on the bed,no don't lie down (sighs) move your left leg..No your LEFT leg (sighs again)..etc etc
DS2 is Dyspraxic, and takes a second or two to process instructions, and can never remember left and right.

I complained to the consultant.

YADNBU !
