to be a bit annoyed by dh's insensitivity and lack of understanding

My ds2 aged 3.4 has had a cold this week that seems worse at night. He's been waking up between 1-2 and has wanted me to stay until he's gone back to sleep which takes ages every time I think he asleep and I creep out he's awake and it starts again! Has also been waking early any time from 5.30 and then he's up for the day. Anyway tonight I said I'm going to go to bed at 9 tonight as I am so tired. He looked at me and said you're always tired lately are you sure you're not anaemic?!! I couldnt believe my ears and yes it has been me getting up for ds2 this week.

They haven't got a clue have they!YANBU

Well, it's annoying that he didn't connect it with your DS being unwell, but at least he's looking out for you, and appears concerned...

Did you tell him why you're so tired?

It's nice that he asked about anaemia, even if it does show that he hadn't noticed the real reason for you being tired.

Did he not notice because he was asleep when you got up?

He knows that he's been waking in the night and getting up early but he becomes deaf at night! Also he has been on earlys himself this week. I think thats one reason why ds2 is waking up as he isnt sleeping well and dh may be too noisy accidently waking ds up grrrr
