I have never filled one in, and I am feeling quite fed up because I have nothing to whine about. AIBU?

Have another look though, mine was hiding under a Bravissimo catalogue Grin

hissymissy · 09/03/2011 20:24

I mean, I might have something vitally important to contribute!

www.census.gov.uk/

Look! you can do it online. Isn't technology wonderful.

I think it's compulsory anyway.

hissymissy · 09/03/2011 20:33

If it's compulsory why haven't I received anything then? [arms crossed in a huff emoticon]

mine hasnt arrived yet either

Fiddledee · 09/03/2011 20:40

got mine today but moving just before the census date, so one of the first things I need to do is fill one in (or order one if it hasn't been left, not sure how as will have no internet access for about a week or maybe two). Only have two small children, hundreds of boxes to unpack but will spend my time filling out a census form... What happens if you don't fill one in.

Request new or extra questionnaires
A 2011 Census household questionnaire will be delivered to every household. If you have not received one by 18 March, request one here:

Household questionnaires are now being delivered
Questionnaires are in the post. If you haven't received one by 18 March, please come back and request one then. If you have lost or damaged your household questionnaire, you can request a replacement from 18 March.

cestlavielife · 09/03/2011 21:54

When you can complete your online questionnaire

As soon as you receive your paper questionnaire, you will be able to complete the online questionnaire. Please remember that your completed questionnaire should accurately describe your household and visitors on census night, Sunday 27 March.

The paper questionnaire has your personal internet access code printed on the front page. You will need it to open your online questionnaire.

Fines for the 2011 Census
The fine for not completing and returning a 2011 Census questionnaire is up to £1,000. You may also have to pay costs.

Wigeon · 09/03/2011 21:56

Don't worry, they are being delivered in batches. We just got ours today but my mum (different area) got hers yesterday and my sister got hers a couple of days ago.

Yes it is a legal requirement to complete it, and someone will indeed come round your house if you don't. And you could get fined £1000.

Scary information here

belledechocchipcookie · 09/03/2011 21:58
