I had read that Lanza was in great difficulties towards the end of his life..no one doubts he had a great voice.
A man who worked with Lanza on a Palladium run said he was very violent.
Even knocked this chap out 6 times and hospitalised him twice.
an amusing part of it was that the great singer would "bite girls necks" (I quote.)
At the line up for HMQ this bloke was holding lanzas trousers at the back to prevent him lunging forward.
It is an amazing story but is backed up by accounts from other people
My wife still raves about the Student Prince. (But laughed loudly at the above stories) cheers "gabby"
