I'm looking for new ideas.

We do the traditional lemon and sugar, also black cherry and cream, and maple syrup.

Any other ideas please

I'm doing both savoury and sweet tomorrow.
Savoury will have smoked mackerel pate and spinach, sweet will have whatever sweet crap DD can find in the cupboards, so melted choc, syrup, honey, sugar, or I'll do her stewed apples if she wants, or tinned peaches!

HecateTheCrone · 07/03/2011 16:49

the kids want chocolate. No alternative is acceptable Grin

Himself likes them plain. Not even sugar freak Shock

I like them with a squish of orange on them.

Asteria · 07/03/2011 16:52

Ooh - Netto - I do similar with my savoury: Smoked salmon, ricotta, spinach roll it up, put a bit of tomato based sauce over top with cheese and cook. Haven't done that one for ages... might have to break it out again!
Sweet is usually plain old syrup and lemon - possibly with a few fat raisins in

KirstyJC · 07/03/2011 16:53

Banana slices fried in butter with maple syrup and chopped walnuts.

Or raspberries with melted chocolate and sugar. Served with vanilla ice cream.

Blueberries sprinkled on when cooking so they get nice and hot too, also with maple syrup.

Yum.

1/4 pint of orange juice, simmer over heat, add a huge dollop of marmalade and simmer a bit more. Drizzle inside pancake, roll up and cover in chocolate sauce.

Choc & Orange pancakes, yum!

MilkNoSugarPlease · 07/03/2011 17:33

Scrambled egg, cheese, mushroom and hash brown!

Or nutella!

5GoMadOnAZ650 · 07/03/2011 17:39

Nutella and squirty cream :)

BalloonSlayer · 07/03/2011 17:41

Scrambled egg?

Isn't that like having mashed potato as a filling for a jacket spud?

bluebump · 07/03/2011 17:42

Marmite and grated cheese. I say it endlessly every year but i've yet to get many takers to try it! Grin

CMOTdibbler · 07/03/2011 17:43

Strawberries and squirty cream

GreenToes · 07/03/2011 17:44

Jam and sugar in the sweet ones, or golden syrup and ice cream, or condensed milk.

I'm having curry sauce in my savoury ones tomorrow I think! :) usually just have stir fried vegetables and grated cheese (vegetarian). Also sweetcorn and grated cheese is delicious.

LostInTransmogrification · 07/03/2011 17:47

You can make a really calorific lovely chocolate sauce mixing melted chocolate and condensed milk. Goes with squirty cream, bananas, nuts etc (slobber)

beachholiday · 07/03/2011 17:50

Spinach, feta cheese, pine nuts, dash of pesto

sparkle12mar08 · 07/03/2011 17:57
