He came home from work at 1230 PM. He goes out to do his jobs in mornings then comes home in the afternoon to do work in the office sometimes it varies a bit depending on his jobs. He came in looking miserable but then he only had 5 hours sleep lastnight. I'm doing a small party today for my dads bday. He's behind with work and its an early party. He didn't hug me or give me a kiss like usual and was abrupt with me and a bit moody now I feel awful. We have had a big row now and I'm upset and really don't feel like doing this party as I feel tired and tearful.

AIBU and be more understanding with his deadlines for work or is he BU ?

Its time of month maybe I'm just being over emotional and wanting attention.

Hmm, a tricky one. Personally if my OH is in a mood I just leave him to it and get on with what I'm doing. Have a glass of wine or some chocolate and ignore him, and have a great party...

Yep, with Iam - just leave him be and he'll come round!!

YANBU - I wish my dh didn't behave like that too. Don't know why we have to do all the making allowances for their stresses etc, and it never has to be reciprocated.

A lot of people on here would be grateful to get 5 hours sleep.

He is being childish.

He is being a bit unreasonable for taking out his stress and tiredness on you. If he is normally a charming and lovely husband I wouldn't be inclined to make a big issue out of it though, we all have off days.
