"allow" me to complain that a 1st class recorded item hasn't arrived ?

Your item is still in transit and will hopefully be with you within the next day or so. If you still haven’t received your item after 15 WORKING days (from the date of posting) please contact us again.

Surely 4-5 days should suffice ?

I've been waiting 8 days for Amazon to receive a returned item.

I posted a letter 1 week ago 1st class recorded delivery which hasn't arrived yet! It only had to go from Leicester to London and i've also been told it could take up to 15 days - it's frustrating isn't it?

Would have been better sending it by pigeon Grin

Yanbu. How frustrating! Saying that, it once took a first class delivery almost three weeks to reach me by which time I had reported it lost and already received it's replacement.

I hate it when Amazon use Royal Mail. I've had to report things missing so many times and I'm sure they think I'm trying it on now to get free stuff.

There is a slightly ironic twist ...

The value of the items is £41, precisely the maximum compensation for recorded delivery.:o
