to give dinner party guests leftover Christmas turkey & ham pie?

because DH thinks it would just look tight & turkey & ham pie isn't suitable (read: posh Wink) enough for a dinner party.

I made such a ridiculously large pie we haven't yet had enough people to lunch/dinner to justify defrosting it but with 8 coming tomorrow evening it seems daft not to. No idea what to serve as starter or pud mind you Confused

So AIBU using Christmas leftover pie for dinner guests?

They may be a little bit off by now! Smile

It's march? Will pie be ok???

If so then serve it! With mash!

They won't be off if they have been in the freezer.

Funnily enough we had something made out of left over Christmas turkey for our dinner tonight. We always strip all the meat off the carcass on Christmas day then bag it up in portions and freeze so that we don't waste it but don't have to eat just that for a week.

Tonight I did a Turkey a la creme and it was quite nice if I say so myself.

Turkey and Ham pie sounds fine to me.

Ahhh mash I'd forgotten - of course thanks plus some nice spring green )or french beans if DH wants me to posh it up a bit Grin.)

Funny, I have the inlaws for tea tonight and am doing chilli with cous cous for the main course but was wondering if they would think I was a weirdo if I gave them a leftover Christmas pudding with custard for dessert. Its never been opened and I'm pretty sure its still within the sell by date although obviously I would check for certain before microwaving cooking it.

Sounds like a brilliant meal to me :)

Go all retro.. prawn cocktail starter, apple pie and custard for pud..

I would serve it with creamy pepper sauce too, but thats just my personal preference... it goes nice though! :)

I see nothing wrong with that. Sound good. We also have a xmas pudding dated for April, was thinking of having it tonight.
