He has a new cookbook, new TV show: these things I expect. But there's more! I went to Homebase this morning. Bang outside the door he has a range of branded herbs.

Elsewhere in the shop: ooh, did you miss me herbs? Come over here and grab some of my seed packets, then! Or get yourself a pasta sauce or pan, a then take me whole cockney monkey self into your home and invite your friends for an 'evening in' where you can all buy more of my stuff! Gawjus!

There is such a thing as overworking a brand, you know.

Your food is jolly nice but I don't want you in my face all the time.

BootyMum · 04/03/2011 16:53

YANBU!!! Irritating man.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 04/03/2011 16:54

you are all wrong. I love St Jamie.

did the mustard chicken with quick dauphinoise from 30 Minute Dinners last night and it was gorgeous.

FindingStuffToChuckOut · 04/03/2011 16:55

Oh Gawd he's everywhere. He should pack a bag and take Myleen & Cheryl go to a deserted island for a year or two.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 04/03/2011 16:56

with a film crew.
then when he came back he could do How To Cook On A Desert Island

SpeedyGonzalez · 04/03/2011 17:03

Oh gawd, Myleene! Everywhere, everywhere!!

I do like his style of cooking but I would like him to take a couple of years off.

YANBU

Itsjustafleshwound · 04/03/2011 17:07

I was browsing at our local Lakeland - and even they are stocking some of his crap - 'cheeky chappy' mug ..

I think some people need to know when enough is enough and he has really overstayed his welcome ...

MillyR · 04/03/2011 17:08

He was heckled when he came to our town. People didn't like him using our independently owned shops as a backdrop to his Sainsburys advert. The film crew said he never gets heckled.

Tizwoz · 04/03/2011 17:09

Can't blame him for wanting to get a bit more money. It's not like he actually has to do much, either. Just sign a bit of paper and some other poor schmuck pritstixs "Jamie Oliver" onto a bar of soap, or whatever it is he's flogging this week.

QueenStromba · 04/03/2011 17:12

Don't knock Myleene. I've met a lot of celebrities and she was the nicest.

Rhinestone · 04/03/2011 17:22

Like his recipes but apart from that I fucking hate his faux-cockney-mockney-pukkah-multi-cultural neighbours just climbing over the garden fence-dedicating his cook books to someone called Jakey Bakey and Andy the gas man-know it all (except how to hold a baby)-twattish-Cool Britannia persona so much I could throw up.

Love your Sicilian pasta recipe. Otherwise fuck the fuck off.

SpeedyGonzalez · 04/03/2011 17:48

Stromba, nice though she maybe she's still everywheeeeeeere!!!

Though not as much as Jamie Grin
