I rather agree - they have a very strong pong don't they? And they aren't that pretty either in my opinion. Sort of fleshy looking.
And my MIL grows them - nuff said.

I love them!! It's my favourite smell... It is some genetic thing like having asparagus wee or rolling your tongue that they smell awful to some people?

How strange - I never knew. Spent a fortune on them for every room when trying to flog house a few years ago. No wonder it didn't sell until the end of Spring despite hundreds of viewings!

I love them too...but they can often look a bit..well, alien. Something about they way they droop?
