to refer to DH as Snorey McFarterson

or, alternatively, as Farty McSnoreson. We have a 3 month old. DH has gone back to work and so I am doing the night feeds all alone. I agreed to this because although the handing me the baby was nice, it isn't essential. I am awake anyway. DD has got really fussy at night recently. She has been so easy so her fussing is a surprise.

My night goes like this... feed, try to go to sleep... DD fusses and grumbles a bit... soother goes in... DD calms down eventually... DH farts loudly... I fume and try to sleep... DH starts to snore... I roll him over... soother falls out and DD starts to grumble... I put the soother back in... AND REPEAT.

DH laughed when I called him Snorey McFarterson but I don't think he will when I change his legal name to that. And, DD will be Fussy McGrumbleson. I think I will need to be Grumpy McSleepdeprived.

Your DH sounds like a charmer.

Katey1010 · 03/03/2011 16:57

He does do pretty much all the housework and is a lovely DH in daylight hours. It's just the nights.

Ok, he sounds alright. He just farts too much in his sleep.

doozle · 03/03/2011 19:07

Oh and YADNBU.

tabbyH · 03/03/2011 19:26

Are we married to the same bloke??? I left dh asleep snoring on sofa last night that way I got some sleep! Do you have a spare bed? Suggest it might be in his interest to get a full nights sleep away from baby? Dh also farts all night/day. He also does most of housework and cooking so I don't like to complain too much - just every other day!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 03/03/2011 20:30

is he fat? collar size above a 16 and snoring can indicate health probs

Katey1010 · 03/03/2011 22:33

He's not fat, he's quite fit actually. So, no excuses there. I tried to send him to the spare room but (he would hate me to let this out) he doesn't want to be away from DD and I. How cute (if loud and smelly!).

Would that make him Fatty McFartysnores-More?

Sorry BoysAreLikeDogs, I realise there is in fact a serious message you're trying to put across here.
