Boiler people refused to come out on Saturday as they said we hadn't paid for it. We had but they couldn't verify it. Someone came today and it needs a big part. As a courtesy we weren't charged for the call out. This afternoon I had a call to say the engineer due between 8-12 was running late and would be coming later this afternoon. I said he had been and gone and she said no he hadn't. He had or who was that this morning then? Another engineer was due to do an annual service but no one had told me. Here we are at 7.12pm and he still hasn't come. If he was due between 8-12 and was running late, what on earth is he doing Hmm.

And the guy who came this morning was not pleasant.

I await their call and are wondering what to say. We always have crap service with them and would change if we could.

I am going to suggest to DH we look into changing as I am fed up with them. It is a local firm but a big one. The man today gave me the creeps. I wanted a shower after he had gone.

I need to learn to spell as well.

Seriously, ask your local plumber to recommend a local service engineer from now on and save your monthly fee. I guarantee it will cost less in the long run than any of the big firms plans. They will get parts cheaper and never suggest unnecessary work. It's in their interest to keep you satisfied so you go back to them each year for service and recommend them.

My husband is a heating engineer and always swears when he hears about these companies.
