She is five, playing nicely with her cuddly toys, waiting for DP to come home and do bedtime cos im poorly sick :(

Playing some sort of game with her toy dogs and just said "im really sorry but now I have to kill you"

what the fuckity fuck???

Im not precious about what she watches on TV but im pretty sure she doesn't hear that - strongest we watch is scooby doo, and most of that we are sat behind cushions.

What ARE they doing in the playground?? Hmm

Perhaps she made it up herself? Kids have strong imaginations.

squeakytoy · 28/02/2011 19:13

Probably heard someone using the phrase "I could tell you but then I would have to kill you".. its a very common saying, that parents would say to their kids without thinking twice, and kids would know it was said as a joke.... so she will have heard if from someone else.

You're being a bit sensitive IMO. When I was five, my toys regularly killed each other. I didn't turn into a violent axe-murderer or even a rowdy child. I'm now a reasonable adult who hates aggression.

DS (2) tonight was stamping his toy peppa pig with a sink plunger saying "Naughty! Naughty! Naughty!" Confused I would hope nobody ever squashes him when he is naughty! I think they just make weird shit up TBH. Grin

worraliberty · 28/02/2011 19:16

Has he annoyed any plumbers lately bertie? Grin

FlamingOBingo · 28/02/2011 19:16

Sorry, but that just made me laugh Grin

My DDs don't go to school (HE'd) and they still come up with shocking phrases int he middle of their games.

Acanthus · 28/02/2011 19:16

Of course they do!

SandStorm · 28/02/2011 19:16

I suspect they've been playing vets and somebody has recently had a dog put down. Nothing more sinister than that.

worraliberty · 28/02/2011 19:18

To be fair at least she's polite and apologised beforehand Grin

SunshineisSorry · 28/02/2011 19:19

Not sensitive, just intrigued really

My 4 year old told one of her toys she was going to gouge his eyes out - that's horrible histories for you Smile

SunshineisSorry · 28/02/2011 19:41

i have just remembered what i did to my dolls when i was about DDs age - cut all their hair off, painted their lips blue with biro and told my mum they had plague Blush DD obviously takes after her mother
