All they have left is a slot from 6-7.30 pm at a fab children's gym where my son would love to have his birthday party (except the afternoon of Mother's day which didn't think would be great!)

and wondered what to give then to eat...I guess could make a supper party...

I think that's fine, YANBU! The kids will probably have eaten by then so just a few picky bits for party food would probably suffice.

Yabu think that's quite late for 5 and 6 year olds sorry

LisaD1 · 28/02/2011 13:58

Yanbu to wnat to book it for then but wouldn't be surprised if you got a lot of no's. Personally, I would let mine go if it were a SAturday but probably not on a Sunday.

I don't think it's that late unless there is a lond drive to get back from there. It might be a bonus to get a few nos anyway Wink.

Seems fine to me! I would let my 6yr old go.

I was doubtful last week taking the 10yr old to a 6pm - 8pm party. However he loved it and lots of children turned up. They fed him well on party food so didn't have too cook for him, and guess what? he was awake till 11pm. Super.

Guess it is up to you OP if that is the only slot you can find. Do they serve the parents wine? Shots? do taxis? Sorry being tongue in cheek. But it could be a niche market I am discovering...

for a 6 yr old (which i have) thats too late the night before a school week - a family BBQ or something in the hols yes we would make excpetions for, but not on a school night, I would think twice for my 9yo!

Oh btw - last week was half term.

Aha dp thinks is a bad idea...they often have swimming etc on a weekend so might be tired...and parents too..

so the other slot is 2.30 pm on Mother's day, what do you think of that? The gym tell me mums often like mother's day parties as get a bit of time off! : - )
