Really? This is okay for your average 12 year old? Shock

Haven't seen the game, the picture in the story with two people balancing an apple between themselves (like the old balloon party game) looks harmless.

Does anyone really look that closely at ratings on games anyhow?

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 26/02/2011 13:32

Daily Mail?
Biscuit

FabbyChic · 26/02/2011 13:39

There are a lot of games that have a 16 or 18 rating but are played and by 12 year olds, and to be honest I do find the game ratings ridiculous.

Some are stated as being 16 when there is nothing wrong with them.

AMumInScotland · 26/02/2011 13:55

Have you played the game, or read an independent review of it, or are you just going by Daily Mail journalism in your assessment?

Remotecontrolduck · 26/02/2011 14:03

I have read independent reviews yes, I just linked to the DM article because it was the first result on google. Obviously a mistake Hmm

Perhaps the game should be banned for its "sexual explictness"? Maybe only available to buy from shops with blacked out windows?

robotlollypopman · 26/02/2011 14:14

Don't complain. What are YOU doing to make kids sexier? At least they're trying!

Fight the good fight etc etc.

allsquareknickersnofurcoat · 26/02/2011 14:21

Old enough to bleed, old enough to breed, eh robotloolypopman ?? Wink

robotlollypopman · 26/02/2011 14:23

Physically and technically, that is actually true. It's whether you can get away with it that is debatable.

AMumInScotland · 26/02/2011 15:47

The censors tend to give ratings on the basis of what is actually shown in the game - presumably there's nothing that explicit within the game to require a 15 rating. I agree it's not a game I'd be encouraging a 12 yo to play, but trailer doesn't look like they are marketing it towards the 12-15 age group, more like 20s and up. Storm in a tea-cup, IMO.

mayorquimby · 26/02/2011 15:59

"Imagine a room of testerone-fuelled teenagers playing this, something could get out of hand. It sounds drastic but I could see it."

Grin that has me cracking up.

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 26/02/2011 16:23

It's not out for another two weeks, so all the Shock is based on the trailer I guess...

webbygeek91 · 26/02/2011 18:46

Erm, teenagers maybe, wouldn't though suitable for 12 yo!

HalfPastWine · 26/02/2011 18:53

Based on the YouTube ad, def not suitable for 12+ !!!

Remotecontrolduck · 26/02/2011 20:33

Looking back at this thread, I definitely should have linked to the YouTube ad rather than the daily fail article!
