...I've emailed a company about something and then they phone me back?

Ocado and Boden, I'm looking at you. If I want to talk to someone about my query, I'll phone but if I know that its not really going to be convenient to speak and I'd like an email response, I'll email you my question.

Pah!

(sorry, dead grumpy with a bad back today)

did you put in the email "please dont ring me, email me" ?

TrillianAstra · 25/02/2011 16:25

I agree, reply to me in the medium that I used to contact you, as that is clearly my preferred mode of communication.

BlingLoving · 25/02/2011 16:26

YANBU. This drives me absolutely crazy. I use email for a reason - I sit at a desk all day. I am often on the phone or busy, email is something I can use in short bursts as need be.

follyfoot · 25/02/2011 16:26

No because if someone emails me, I email them back. If they phone me, I phone them back. Just seems common sense to me....

Oh you miserable thing! The companies concerned are trying to offer you effective customer service. Most people prefer to talk to someone and also can resolve complex issues better in that way than by trying to e-mail after e-mail.

YABU. They have responded promptly to your query. If you are unable to communicate over the phone you should make that clear in your email.
